Oval Blue Sapphire

An oval blue sapphire hangs at the heart of this design, connected by two metal hoops to the bottom of the bale above. The sapphire is bezel set in 14k white gold, and this provides an elegant frame for the rich blue gem, helping to highlight its gorgeous color as well as its elegant shape. Pendants

Three Diamonds

The links that the sapphire hang from attach directly to the bottom of the bale, which features three round brilliant cut diamonds shared prong set vertically in a line. They extend all the way up to the top of the bale, and a loop of metal extends off of the back of the top setting for the chain to pass through.

These diamonds bring a glamorous sparkle to the piece, and they contrast beautifully with the rich blue of the oval sapphire below. The juxtaposition of oval sapphire to round diamond adds to this dynamic as well, and the rigidity of the diamonds’ settings is in direct contrast to the freely-moving sapphire.

Pendant Design

The wide bale dominated by diamonds lead down to a thin white gold ring, and this connects to the back of the bottom diamond setting. It encircles the sapphire dangling from the bottom of the bale, giving the sapphire space to move while simultaneously framing it and giving the piece a satisfying definition.
