This stylish men’s wedding ring features a two-tone band with narrow grooves separating the sections, and a comfort fit. The design was developed for a client from Seattle, WA, who had us design engagement ring #100773 previously for his fiancée, and then came back so we could make a unique piece for him as well. Because he lived locally, we worked with him in our Bellevue, WA showroom to determine what types of features he wanted to include and what type of style he wanted.
Two-tone Band
This ring is made of palladium and 14k rose gold, with the rose gold section running down the middle between the two palladium rails. All three sections have a brushed finish for a nice matte effect, but narrow black grooves run down both sides of the rose gold strip to make the demarcation clear.
Two-tone bands are becoming increasingly popular for both men’s and women’s rings. They offer a nice way to introduce a new color to a piece without adding gemstones, and they also increase your wardrobe options because they go well with a more diverse array of colors and styles. This is especially important to take into consideration when it comes to something like an engagement ring or wedding band that you’re going to wear every day.
Finish and Metal Options
If you’re interested in customizing this design, one option would be to adjust the combination of metals used to better reflect your personal style. For instance, you could use yellow gold instead of rose gold for a more classical look.
You could also adjust the type of finish, or even introduce contrasting finishes for the different sections of the ring to emphasize the separation of the sections. Finish options include hammered, sandblasted, and high polish, all of which subtly but substantially will change the overall appearance of the piece.
