Engagement Ring Description

This stunning sapphire diamond engagement ring features a round brilliant diamond in the center surrounded by a cluster halo of pink, blue, purple, and lavender sapphires, and purple amethysts as well, all set in platinum. It is a truly unique piece created for a client from Renton, WA, who worked with our designers both in our Bellevue showroom and online to make the perfect ring. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

The client came to us with a rough idea of what she wanted for a ten year anniversary ring. After an initial design meeting, we sent 3d CAD designs and renders for the design created around her 1.19 carat diamond center. We collaborated back and forth and played with the idea of an asymmetrical gemstone color placement, but in the end, the client decided to go with a cluster halo with blue sapphires on either side of the center diamond, and various shades of sapphire and amethyst on the north and south sections of the halo, with tiny diamonds filling in the outside of the halo.

Cluster Halo Gemstones

The gemstones in this piece were mostly different hues of sapphire as well as purple amethyst. It was extremely important to the client that the color gradient was correct and flowed seamlessly, so we brought in a gemstone selection to confirm her choices before we set them in the platinum band. It was also very important that diamond, amethyst, and sapphire were all used in the piece, as those were symbolic gemstones for the client. An anniversary ring is a perfect opportunity to create a jewelry piece involving all members of a family. In this case, we were able to find multiple shades of sapphire to incorporate both the symbolic importance of the ring as well as the aesthetic the client was looking for. One of a Kind Rings

Customization Options

There are many ways to customize this ring. One idea would be to change up the gemstone color choices to warmer tones of peach and pink, and create the setting in rose or yellow gold. Another option would be to have a sapphire center as well as the colder sapphire and amethyst tones, which would make the ring into more of a fashion cocktail ring.
