Engagement Ring Description

This exquisite engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong-set atop a floral-inspired white gold shank, accented with diamonds, milgrain beading, and custom hand engraving. It was created for a client from Bellevue, WA, and we can work with you to customize it to perfectly match your vision of the ideal engagement ring.

Center Setting

At the top of this ring, a large round diamond is displayed beautifully in a four-prong setting that rises from within the ornate floral bridge on each ring front. The placement of the stone allows for a clear view of its elegant lines, and it also ensures that plenty of light can reach it to help maximize its brilliant sparkle.

Diamond Accents

A pear-shaped diamond is prong set on each shank shoulder just below the larger stone. The two of these together total 0.21 carats, and they each occupy the space between the two strands of the split shank as they venture farther apart on their way up to meet the main setting. Each of these strands integrates some wavy curves along its path to the top of the ring, and these contribute to the floral feel of the design as well.

The strands split apart at about the mid-point on each side of the band, and that is also the spot at which the small round accent diamonds that run up the shank shoulder originate. These add a touch of glamour to the design as well as a classical feel thanks to their shape and the chosen bright cut setting style. Additionally, four small round diamonds are bezel set on each ring front about a quarter of the way down each side, providing a unifying feature and satisfying finishing touch.

Hand Engraving and Milgrain

Covering the ring fronts and the lower portion of the top of the band is a floral-inspired hand-engraved pattern lined with milgrain beading. That beading extends up to line the smaller accent diamonds on the top half of the band as well, and these two details together add to both the classical feel and the floral theme of the design.
