Engagement Ring Description

This dazzling engagement ring features an emerald cut diamond prong set at the top, accented by bright cut set diamonds in the surrounding halo and running down the top of the criss-cross white gold band. Center Diamond

The centerpiece of this ring is a two-carat emerald cut diamond, and it’s held in place by four prongs made of 14k white gold. These prongs extend straight up from the inner margin of the surrounding halo, meeting the cropped corners of the diamond at the girdle and then continuing up to end at about the level of the stone’s table. The diamond is also oriented to lie lengthwise in line with the band, a positioning that helps to emphasize its impressive size and elegant lines. Diamond Engagement Rings

Diamond Halo and Accents

Surrounding the center is a halo of round bright cut set diamonds that follows closely to the contours of the larger stone, complete with the cropped corners. The halo angles downward slightly as well, echoing the shape of the center diamond and facilitating a smooth transition to the band below.

Running along the top surface of that band are lines of diamonds that continue about three-quarters of the way down each side and that are also bright cut set. These add a glamorous flair to the ring, and they also help to highlight the elegant movement of the two strands of the split, criss-cross shank. Engagement Rings Seattle

Band Design and Filigree

The band of this ring is one piece across the bottom, but it quickly splits into two moving up each side. The two strands that form then curve back and forth, crossing over each other twice on their way up to meet the sides of the main setting. On both ring fronts, an ornate scroll-style filigree fills the space below the halo, and the pattern found there echoes the movement of the strands of the shank as well.
