Men's Wedding Band Description

This unique men’s wedding ring features an organic pattern carved all the way around the white gold band, accented with contrasting finishes. It was created as a custom piece for a client from Ketchikan, AK, who had previously found a ring in our Bellevue, WA showroom that he liked but wanted to modify slightly. We worked with him online to finalize the details of the new piece, and we even shared photos of the wax model we made for the piece in this way to ensure we were all on the same page before beginning production. Carved Pattern

The pattern that covers the top of this band is made up of many indentations of varying size, shape, and orientation. They are arranged to give the ring the appearance of a piece of driftwood, and the organic nature of the layout helps to convey that. The pattern is loosely based on the inspiration piece the client found in our showroom, and we enhanced the elements of that ring that he liked while integrating the changes he requested.

The band itself is made from 18k white gold, and it’s slightly domed with flat fronts. It’s 8mm wide to accommodate the full expression of the carved pattern, although that’s one element you could experiment with changing if you’d like to customize this design. Men’s wedding rings typically range in width from 6mm to 9mm, and the best way to determine what’s most comfortable for you is to try on some different pieces to see what you prefer. Contrasting Finishes

While the majority of the ring is polished, the inner surfaces of the carved out design are sandblasted to help make them stand out more clearly. The matte texture of the sandblasted finish also enhances the organic overtones of the pattern, and the contrast between the two different finishes adds to the overall complexity of the design as well.
