Pendant Description

This elegant pendant features a yellow gold heart linked to two white gold rings and holding a bezel set round diamond. It was created for a client from Tacoma, WA, who reached out to us online for help designing a special anniversary present for his wife. We collaborated with him through the online workroom we set up to manage his project, and he was very happy with the finished piece we produced. Design Your Own Pendant

Two-tone Pendant

The main body of this pendant is made up of a 14k yellow gold heart that links with two 14k white gold rings. These rings represent the couple’s wedding rings, with the heart holding both in place to symbolize the love they share. The use of two different metals for these elements helps to emphasize their separation and the specific relationship between them.

The use of the heart and two rings was an idea the client had from the beginning, but he was unsure about how exactly to combine them. We worked through several different arrangements with him until he found one that created just the look he was after. Pendants

Bezel Set Diamond

In the upper left-hand corner of the heart, a 0.41 carat round diamond sits in a partial bezel setting made up primarily of one of the curves on top of the heart. Due to the placement of the ring on that side, the diamond seems to be wrapped within it as well, although the setting is visibly only made of yellow gold.

The diamond brings a brilliant and glamorous sparkle to the design, while also tying in with the traditional use of diamonds in wedding sets. It brings a satisfying balance to the piece as well, as the left curve that holds it sits lower down than the curve on the right that connects the pendant body to the chain. This connection occurs thanks to a hole in the side of the heart that allows the chain to pass directly through, eliminating the need for a separate bale.
