This elegant men’s wedding ring features an intertwining filigree pattern between polished platinum rails. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who initially came to us for his fiancée’s engagement ring. They were both so happy with the work we did on that project, that they came back to us when it was time to complete the wedding set.

Intertwining Filigree

The thing you’re likely to notice first about this ring is its openness. Between the two narrow polished platinum rails, a delicate filigree pattern of curving, intertwining lines runs all the way around the band. Because the pieces that make up the filigree are themselves slightly narrower than the rails, this leaves much of the interior space empty.

An open arrangement like this helps highlight the natural beauty and simplicity of the design, and it’s an excellent choice if you want something that won’t be too bulky, but that will still be wider like a traditional men’s band.

Metal and Pattern Options

If you’re interested in customizing this piece, one of the easiest ways would be to use yellow or rose gold rather than platinum to introduce some classical overtones. The warmth of these metals would also provide a nice contrast if you decided to go with a two-tone look. For instance, you could have the filigree made from rose gold while keeping the rails in platinum. Or you could use yellow gold rails to frame a white gold or platinum center.
