Sapphires and Diamonds

The body of each earring is made up largely of a pear shaped blue sapphire, and the two taken together total 1.46 carats. Their rich color contrasts nicely with the brilliant shine of the 14k white gold they’re set in, and the prongs in the setting meet the stones at two spots near the bottom as well as at the tip. The lower prongs are straight and round, while the top one is a chevron prong, which both protects and highlights the precise corners at the top of the sapphires. Earrings

A small loop connects the sapphire settings to the posts above, and the fronts of these posts hold round brilliant cut diamonds, also in prong settings.
