14k Yellow Gold Blue Topaz Earrings
Item #102704Earrings Description
Blue Topaz Centers
At the centers of these earrings are cushion shaped, checkerboard cut blue topaz, and they’re each bezel set in 14k white gold. All together, they total 2.06 carats, and they’re oriented to hang with their corners at the compass positions, producing a more delicate and star-like effect.
Milgrain and Filigree
Each topaz is surrounded by double rows of milgrain beading, which adds some vintage flair to the design and provides a nice frame for the stone at the same time. The milgrain continues down onto the filigree basket that protects the back of the stone, and larger decorative beads enhance this filigree section as well.
Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing this set, you may want to consider using a different type of gemstone for the center. This could give you the opportunity to work in a stone with personal significance for you, and you could change things up by using a different cut of stone as well. Earrings
Modifying the design of the filigree basket is another option to consider, as is using a colored metal to bring a different type of contrast to the piece. If you’re interested in a more modern look, you may want to eliminate the milgrain beading as well.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
