Aquamarine Centers
The centerpieces of this set are two aquamarines that together total 1.50 carats. They’re round and checkerboard cut, which creates a pattern of squares that alternate light and dark as the stones are viewed from different angles. Their delicate blue color contrasts subtly but significantly with the silvery shine of the metal they’re set in, adding to the beauty of both elements.
Filigree and Milgrain
A line of milgrain beading runs around the perimeter of the bezel setting holding each aquamarine, and this detail continues down onto the ornate basket behind the stone as well. The basket is made of filigree in a pattern that incorporates triangles and lines accented with larger decorative beads in addition to the milgrain. The triangles are filled with these larger beads, and a line of them runs around the top margin of the filigree section, with milgrain providing the perfect frames for each of these elements. Pear, oval, and cushion cut stones are all options that could work well in this framework, and you could also switch to a sapphire to open up more color possibilities. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
