Description
These elegant drop earrings are anchored by pear shaped blue sapphires, accented with round diamonds, and hung on a delicate chain. They were created for a client from Woodinville, WA, who came to us wanting earrings that incorporated both diamonds and blue sapphires. In the end, she actually ordered two pairs from us, which we made at the same time - a set of studs as well as this lovely set of danglers. Design Your Own Earrings

Blue Sapphires
The pear shaped blue sapphires in these earrings total 1.27 carats when taken together and their points are oriented up toward the chain. Their size and shape make this the perfect position for them to provide balance to the piece and their rich blue color contrasts wonderfully with the silvery shade of the metal they are set in.
Diamond Accents
Moving up the chain away from the sapphires reveals a round diamond which adds just enough sparkle without overshadowing the blue stones at the bottom. The chain between the sapphire and the diamond is about twice as long as the length between the diamond and the beginning of the earring, and this spacing complements the relative sizes of the stones nicely as well.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
