Sapphire Centers
Each of these earrings is centered on a round blue sapphire, and the two together total exactly one carat. These are prong set in 14k white gold, which contrasts beautifully with their rich blue color and helps highlight its depth.
Sapphires are available in many colors, and this may be one of the best places to start when you want to customize a design like this. Choosing a shade for your center stones that holds special significance to you or the person you’re giving the earrings to is a wonderful way to add a personal touch to such a special piece.
Diamond Accents
Small round diamonds are bright cut set in a ring all the way around the sapphires, and this creates a halo that’s ever-so-slightly squared. The diamonds add a decidedly glamorous flair, and they help the sapphires stand out even more by adding another layer of contrast to the design.
The sides of the halo are also lined with bright cut set diamonds, which brings even more sparkle to the set. This gives the earrings a nice, finished look as well, and it solidifies the classical style of the earrings.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
