These gorgeous earrings feature hand-carved fresh water pearls on yellow gold posts, with small round rubies set in the center. They were created for a client from Lebanon, who reached out to us online to request a quote, and we also supplied a matching pendant to go with them. Although we do not make pieces like this onsite in our Bellevue, WA showroom, we can order them for you from the artist who creates them, including any special requests that can be accommodated. Carved Pearls
The bodies of these earrings are formed from a single 10mm fresh water pearl each, and they feature a hand-carved design of an open lotus flower. The graceful lines and varying surface that results from the carving creates a shimmering effect that really highlights the beauty and complexity of the pearls.
Center Rubies
In the center of each of the pearls, a single red ruby is set in yellow gold, introducing a brilliant burst of color into the design. The client wanted the rubies be as pink as possible, and the artist was happy to accommodate that request. The lovely warmth of the rubies is reflected in the use of yellow gold for the setting as well, creating a lovely combination of contrasting colors that further highlights the beautiful surface of the pearls.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
