18k Yellow Gold Blue Topaz And Diamond Earrings
Item #102624Earrings Description
Blue Topaz Centers and Diamond Accents
The larger pair of gemstones in these earrings are cushion shaped, checkerboard cut blue topaz that together total 2.06 carats. They’re each bezel set in 14k white gold, and they’re oriented to hang with their corners at the compass positions, giving them a somewhat star-like appearance. That dynamic works well with the shimmering blue color of the stones, and it also provides a nice overall balance to the set.
Directly above the top corer of each topaz, a round diamond is bezel set, creating a bridge to the finding and also a satisfying counterpoint to the larger stones. The diamonds together total 0.04 carats, but their relatively small size does not limit the impact they can have on the overall appearance of the design. The brilliant sparkle of the diamonds shines through, adding another layer of contrast with the blue topaz below. Earrings
Milgrain and Filigree
The bezel settings surrounding both types of gemstones are lined with milgrain beading for some added vintage flair. The topaz is actually framed by two rows of milgrain, and that detail continues onto the filigree baskets behind the stones as well. The filigree adds an intricacy that enhances the vintage overtones of the design, and it also allows for an openness that lets light reach the topaz from behind.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
