These gorgeous stud earrings feature white freshwater pearls carved to resemble lily flowers, with round emeralds set in the center in yellow gold. They’re part of our Galatea collection, and you can see them in person any time you stop by our Bellevue, WA showroom. Galatea jewelry is known for the way it utilizes traditional elements to explore natural themes. These pieces also commonly incorporate light in unconventional ways, as they continue to push the limits of what is possible in fine jewelry design.
Carved Pearls
The main portion of each earring in this set is made up of a 10mm freshwater pearl that’s been carved into the shape of a lily. The rippling surface that’s created by the carving causes the pearl to reflect light in a complex combination of ways that helps to highlight the beauty of the material. The subtle contrast that reflection creates also adds definition to the design and enhances the overall natural feel of the piece. Earrings
Emerald Centers
In the center of each pearl, a small round emerald is held in a six prong setting made from 14k yellow gold. The emeralds stand out despite their small size thanks to the dramatic contrast with both the metal they’re set in and the silky white of the pearl. The warmth of the yellow gold and the rich green of the stones also play into the organic and floral themes of the piece.
On the back of each earring, a white gold stud extends back to pass through the ear. This design keeps the pearl and emerald combination as the sole visual focus of the set, eliminating distraction and helping to reinforce the natural elegance of the set.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
