Platinum Blue Topaz Leverback Earrings
Item #102517Earrings Description
If you’d like to learn more about the custom design process, you can stop by our Bellevue, WA showroom in person or contact our team online. We take the time to learn as much as possible about your specific tastes and preferences before developing a unique design for you in CAD.
You can review these CAD proofs through the online workroom we set up to manage your project, and you can also use this platform to request any revisions you’d like to ensure every detail is perfect. If you want to review a wax model of your design before giving your final approval to begin production, we can produce one for you to come in and view, or we can ship it to you if that’s more convenient for you. Earrings
Blue Topaz Centers
The main body of each earring in this set is defined by the large cushion shaped blue topaz that’s bezel set at its center, and the two of these together total 1.73 carats. The settings are made from 14k white gold, and they generally follow the contours of the stones closely.
The only exception to this is at a spot right in the middle of each side, where the metal suddenly curves out to form a point, and then returns to its original path just as quickly. This is a detail that the earrings share with both matching pendants, and it brings a decidedly star-like feel to the design.
Filigree and Milgrain
A double row of milgrain beading lines the bezel setting surrounding each topaz, helping to reinforce the vintage themes already present in the piece. Behind the stones, a filigree basket made of looping and interlocking strands provides protection for the backs of the stones while also ensuring that plenty of light can reach them from behind.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
