Although the client already had a good idea of what they wanted in the design, we created a proportionally accurate model using CAD software, and once they approved the design, we put the earrings into production, where they were cast in metal and set with the client’s diamonds. Using gems from previous pieces is a great way to add a sentimental touch while giving gemstones new life.
Climber Style
Climber earrings are completely unique. As we created this set for the client, we measured the wearer’s ears to make sure the earrings hit at just the right points on the ear. Then, we confirmed that it would stay secure and in place as she wore the earrings. Earrings
Climber earrings have recently come into style. These are a whimsical, organic style that would work for both everyday wear as well as a more formal event.
Customization
To customize this piece, one might first start by choosing their favorite metal. Then, you could choose different gemstones or even a different gemstone placement. One option would be to add small diamonds within each white gold leaf, which would triple the sparkle of the earrings. With our custom design process, you would be able to see the new design and make unlimited modifications before sending the piece into production. No matter how you customize them, these organic-inspired climber earrings would be a perfect gift.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
