Platinum Custom Tanzanite And Diamond Earrings
Item #103984Earrings Description
The stones used in this set were provided by the client, and she worked closely with our team, both in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom and online, to design the perfect settings to hold them. The original models we came up with didn’t grab her the way she felt they should, so we produced several more sketches, and she chose the design she wanted to develop from that selection. Blue Tanzanites
The largest stones in these earrings are rectangular cushion cut blue tanzanites, and the two combined total 2.34 carats. They’re bar set at the bottom of each earring, oriented to sit vertically. Our original models had the tanzanites at an angle, as their counterpart is in the matching pendant. After examining these designs, the client requested that the stones not sit at an angle in the earrings. We provided her with models that had them sitting both vertically and horizontally, and in the end she chose this arrangement. Pendants
Diamond Accents and Earring Design
Just above the tanzanite in each earring, a round brilliant cut diamond is prong set in sleek gold. Another diamond sits at the top of the earring just below the finding, and these provide a nice contrast in terms of both color and shape to the larger stones below.
Framing all of the gemstones in this set are two lines metal that begin at the level of the top of the higher diamond. They curve in dramatically as they pass below this stone, briefly meeting each other before curving out again to straddle the two stones on the bottom of the earring. This created just the type of elegant and minimalist look the client was after, and the matching pendant, while a bit more ornate, still keeps with this basic underlying structure.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
