This beautiful engagement ring features an emerald cut diamond prong set in the center of a three-stone setting, with tapered baguette diamonds on either side. It was created for a client from Arlington, VA, and we can customize it for you until it’s the perfect match to your personal style.

Center Diamond
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.70 carat emerald cut diamond, and the four platinum prongs holding it in place frame it beautifully. The way the rounded tips of these prongs wrap up around the truncated corners provides the perfect counterpoint to the otherwise angular design, and it ties in with the slightly rounded top of the band as well.
Tapered Baguettes
The side stones that complete the center setting are tapered baguette diamonds tension set on the shoulders of the shank. They’re oriented lengthwise along the band, with the narrower ends pointing away from the larger stone at the top. This helps ease the transition from the wide diamond to the narrower shank, and it also provides a nice complement to the angular center diamond. Diamond Engagement Rings
Customization Options
Even a piece as minimal as this still offers plenty of openings to introduce unique elements that personalize the design. For instance, you could use sapphires for the side stones to work in a favorite or significant color, or you could switch to a different type of metal to introduce contrast and take things in a more vintage direction.
Experimenting with different setting styles is another option to consider, as a small change in that area can dramatically impact the overall aesthetic of a design. For instance, using bezel settings for all of the stones in this ring would give it a decidedly contemporary feel, while switching to prongs to hold the side baguettes could introduce a hint of antique flair.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
