14k Rose Gold Custom Ruby And Diamond Halo Vintage Engagement Ring
Item #102729 $4,804 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
He came in with a good idea about the type of piece he wanted us to design, and after discussing his preferences with him, we outlined the ring we proposed to build in CAD. He requested a few revisions to this initial model, and we incorporated his feedback into a new design which he then approved to move into production.
Center Ruby and Halo
The center stone in this ring is a 1.26 carat emerald cut ruby with a rich, dark red color. The clean lines of the emerald cut only work to enhance the stone’s natural beauty, and the way the talon prongs curl up over the truncated corners frames it perfectly.
Just outside the prongs and slightly below the main stone, a contoured ring of round bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain form a halo around it. These add wonderful sparkle to the piece, and their round shape helps reinforce the contrast between them and the larger, angular ruby.
Diamond Accents
Additional bright cut set diamonds run down the shoulders of the shank, tapering in various places to perfectly fill the space available. The band itself also tapers, and it is divided into multiple smaller sections by lines of milgrain beading. These details help tie in with the halo at the top, unifying the design and adding some vintage flair along the way.
Band Design
The band widens somewhat dramatically at the top to smoothly integrate into the main setting. It is made of platinum, which is a popular choice for everyday pieces like engagement rings due to its impressive durability and the fact that it does not need replating to maintain its stunning white color. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
