The diamond solitaire has a long and storied place in engagement ring designs, and there are many ways you can incorporate this element into your own unique piece. In this ring, the diamond is a round brilliant cut stone coming in at exactly one carat, and it’s held securely in a partial bezel setting that arises naturally from the wrapped shank. Organic Accents
On each side of the center diamond, ivy leaves are tucked in the space that’s left when the shank curves out to form part of the main setting. These are accented with scroll filigree and vine shapes, and all of this together is a beautiful example of the type of custom metalwork our artisans can complete by hand.
Because we carry out all of this work onsite, we can customize it to a great degree to help you integrate something of special personal significance into your piece. For instance, you could change the shape of the leaves or include a more overtly floral element, and you can add custom hand engraving along the shank as well to take the organic themes even further while also bringing some vintage flair to the design. Wrapped Shank
The band itself is flat, and it’s straight most of the way up the sides. At about the one-quarter point, it veers outward on each side of the center, just far enough to wrap up and around the center stone while tapering to a point on the far side. The point of each strand meets the ivy leaves on the opposite shank shoulder, creating a low-profile center setting that is also decorative and unique.
