14k White Gold Custom Amethyst Solitaire Engagement Ring

Solitaire Amethyst
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.03 carat square cut amethyst with stunning fire and a lovely purple color. It’s cradled in a four prong setting that rises up from the 14k rose gold shank below, and the way the rich purple of the stone plays off the warm tones of the metal it’s set in gives the ring a wonderful character and dramatic presence. The square cut was something the clients were particularly interested in, as they liked the clean lines and minimal number of facets. The shape of the amethyst works well with the wide, flat design of the band, and it plays off the smaller round amethysts in the companion wedding band nicely as well. Matching Wedding Sets
Band Design
The band is widest at the top, gently tapering as it moves down the sides. All sides are flat, smooth, and polished to a high shine, and these qualities help highlight the wonderful color and shape of the amethyst as well.
On each ring front, a small infinity symbol sits right at the base of the main setting, creating a bridge between the two shank shoulders and introducing a delicate intricacy to the design. This also serves as a significant personal touch with special meaning for the clients, and it ties in nicely with the symbolism of the eternity wedding band that completes the set.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
