He had two inspiration pieces he wanted to draw from to create his own unique ring, and we developed a CAD representation of the piece as we envisioned it. We shared this with him online, and he requested only slight clarification of a few details before approving things to move into production. We can work with you to customize this design, or you can borrow some elements of it to work into another piece, and our experts will guide you through every step along the way.
Center Diamond
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.70 carat round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s held in a four prong platinum setting that forms organically out of the criss-cross strands of the split shank. The way the shank twists up and around as it approaches this center stone give the ring a subtle elegance and grace, and it also helps create a smooth transition to the ornate band below.
Diamond and Sapphire Accents
On each ring front, one of the prongs of the main setting crosses over on the outside while another emerges from underneath the center stone. The strand that becomes the outside prong also holds a line of round bright cut set diamonds that end about a third of the way down the shank where the two split strands come together.
These diamonds add a glamorous sparkle to the piece, and they highlight the elegant movement of the shank design as well. Adding another type of highlight are two groups of round bright cut set blue sapphires that are tucked into marquise shapes on each shank shoulder, creating a stunning contrast with the brilliant white of the large diamond above. Milgrain and Hand Engraving
The entire lower portion of the shank, excluding a small sizing bar at the bottom, is covered with an organic pattern of custom hand engraving, and this integrates beautifully with the leaf shapes tucked up around the main setting. The engraving, as well as all diamond and sapphire accents, are lined with milgrain beading for an added vintage flair and a satisfying, finished look. Hand Engraving
