Item #103909 $8,164 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
After their initial visit to our Bellevue, WA showroom, we developed a set of CAD proofs of their design, and we shared those with them through the online workroom we set up to manage their project. They requested a few adjustments to these proofs, and after seeing those revisions incorporated into the digital models, they asked to a see a wax model to make sure every detail was perfect before approving the piece to move into production.
Five-stone Design and Trellis Setting
The largest gemstone in this ring is a 0.61 carat round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s held securely by six platinum talon prongs. The six prong arrangement gives the stone somewhat of a floral appearance, which works nicely with the trellis design on the ring fronts to bring some organic overtones to the piece. The client provided this center stone, as well as the other four in the ring. These side stones are all old European cut, and they combine to total 1.07 carats. They’re all shared prong set, with two on each side of the center, and they form a line of diamonds that extends almost all the way across the top of the band. All of the prongs involved in the setting intertwine and overlap on the way up to meet the stones, creating a trellis-like design on the ring fronts that adds to the delicacy and elegance of the ring. Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing a ring like this, you may want to begin by choosing a different metal for the ring. Rose and yellow gold would both bring a warmth and classic flair to the piece, and white gold is an option as well if you like the silvery look for the metal but prefer gold to platinum. Using a different shape or type of stones in place of the diamonds used here is worth exploring as well, particularly if you have your own family gems you’d like to incorporate into a special ring like this.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
