When he was here, he found a ring he wanted to customize, and we worked with him to incorporate all of the details that were of personal significance to him. We then developed a CAD model of the ring, and he quickly gave his approval so that we could move the ring into production.
Solitaire Diamond
The lone diamond in this ring is a 0.40 carat round brilliant cut stone, and it’s framed nicely by the four platinum prongs holding it in place. These rise up gracefully from the intertwined vines that make up the shank below, and the sparkle of the diamond works well to unite the intricate organic elements found on the rest of the piece. Hand Engraving and Organic Design
The shoulders of the shank are formed by the intermingling of several vine shapes, with leaves of various sizes overlapping intermittently. The leaves are hand engraved as well to give them a more authentically organic feel, and the beautiful movement of these elements flows smoothly up into the center setting.
The vines extend down to the mid-point on the band, and the remainder of the tapered shank is covered with a hand-engraved organic scroll pattern that complements the upper portion of the band nicely. The client briefly considered eliminating this engraved portion, but after careful consideration, he decided to keep it, as it gave the ring a satisfying balance and finished feel. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
