14k Yellow Gold Custom Green Tourmaline And Diamond Engagement Ring

Tourmaline Center
In the center of this ring, a 3.89 carat radiant cut green tourmaline is held in place by four double talon prongs made of 18k palladium white gold. The stone was provided by the client, and its striking green color contrasts beautifully with the silvery white of the metal it’s set in. Below the center stone, the basket is simple, with a single bar running around the gallery for structural purposes. Our original design had a more ornate basket, but the client liked the open look of this style more, and so we made the requested adjustments. Unique Engagement Rings Seattle
Diamond Accents
Three diamonds are set in a cluster on each shank shoulder, with one larger marquise diamond and two small round diamonds in each group. These are arranged to perfectly fill the V-shaped space formed by the widening of the band as it nears the center setting, and they add a lovely glamorous sparkle as well.
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
The top of the band is covered with a delicate wheat-style pattern of custom hand engraving. This works perfectly with the tapered shape of the shank, echoing the movement begun at the top of the band as it narrows moving away from the center. Lines of milgrain beading run down each side of the engraved section, adding a hint of vintage flair to the piece while also creating a nice frame for the pattern. Vintage Engagement Rings

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
