In the 3D phase of our custom design process, we sent the client side by side snapshots of what the design looked like with different sized center stones and small modifications. The client and designer worked back and forth through our online messaging system until it was ready to go into production to be cast in metal and set with stones.
Moissanite Center
Moissanite is a gemstone that was originally discovered in a meteor crater just over one hundred years ago in Arizona. It has gained traction as a diamond alternative since the 1990s and has a hardness score of 9.25, which is close to the perfect 10 of a diamond. Most colorless moissanites are lab-created, and we source the highest quality moissanites for our clients. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Starburst Design
The double halo surrounding the pear-shaped center stone has a starburst feel. The diamonds are cluster set to give the look of each stone sitting separately but close to each other. Under the halo, there is filigree detailing holding the ring above the finger. Each shoulder has a small kite-shaped frame with diamonds set in it and pointing to the halo and center stone. These small details are different from the original design, and change the ring to a more vintage feel from the original modern aesthetic.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
