This dazzling engagement ring features a cushion cut blue-green sapphire prong set in the center of a stylized diamond halo, accented by additional bright cut set diamonds and milgrain beading on the band below. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who worked extensively with our team, both in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom and online to finalize the details of her project. Sapphire Center and Diamond Halo
At the top of this ring, a 1.80 carat cushion cut blue-green sapphire is secured by four platinum prongs that meet the stone at its rounded corners. The silvery shine of the metal contrasts beautifully with the rich color of the stone, helping to highlight the beauty of both materials. Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Rings
Surrounding the sapphire is a halo composed of several separate segments, including four marquise-shaped sections that alternate with crescent-shaped sections that wrap around each corner. Thanks to this arrangement, the marquise sections sit in the middle of each side of the sapphire, extending outward lengthwise to create a bit of a star shape for the center setting as a whole.
Each of these sections holds small, round bright cut set diamonds, with four in each of the crescent shapes and one in each of the marquise. These add their own brilliant white sparkle to the contrast relationship with the deep blue-green of the larger sapphire, and they also help to intensify the shine of the center by reflecting additional light up onto it. Diamond and Milgrain Accents
The two marquise sections that lie on either side of the center in line with the band transition into two additional marquise-shaped sections that run down each shank shoulder. All of these marquise-shaped sections on the band, in turn, hold two small round bright cut set diamonds, completing the transition to the narrow platinum band while simultaneously forging a connection with the halo at the top. The marquise sections, as well as all of the sections in the halo, are lined with milgrain beading for some added vintage flair.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.

- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.

- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
