She had six of her own diamonds, and her goal was to create the perfect setting for them. We took her ideas and created a unique design that we then shared with her online. After requesting a few minor adjustments, she came in again to examine a wax model of the piece. At that point, she was satisfied that we had captured exactly what she wanted, and she gave her approval to move into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Trillion Diamond
The largest diamond in this ring is a 0.75 carat trillion diamond, and it’s bar set off to one side, with one flat end up against the edge of the ring. This makes the top of the band somewhat flat, as it continues straight to the outer edge, and this also causes the main diamond to line up on one side when the ring is worn. Custom Engagement Rings
Princess Cut Diamonds
With the larger diamond off to one side on top of the band, the space in the middle is open for a line of channel set princess cut diamonds to take center stage. There are five of these, and they begin just beyond the point of the trillion diamond, extending down to close to the mid-point on the shank. The shape of these accent stones complements that of the larger diamond nicely, and it also helps transition into the flat band below.
Band Design
For the most part, this band design is relatively straightforward. It’s made of 14k rose gold, and this contrasts beautifully with the sparkling white of the diamonds at the top. It’s flat and the same width all the way around, except for the spot off to one side on the top, below where the trillion diamond sits.
Leading up to this main setting, the band thickens both in width and depth, expanding out to meet the corners of the diamond while also pushing up higher than the other surfaces of the band to angle the stone in the proper way. It is this arrangement that makes the design so unique, and the asymmetry that results brings a lovely contemporary flair to the piece.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
