Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a radiant cut peach sapphire bezel set in rose gold, accented by milgrain beading on the tapered band below. It was created for a couple from Everett, WA, who initiated the custom design process through our website. While we were working on developing their design, they visited our Bellevue, WA showroom to view some sample pieces and gemstone options, and we also collaborated extensively with them through the online workroom we set up to manage their project. Sapphire Solitaire

The lone gemstone in this ring is a 1.43 carat radiant cut peach sapphire that the client selected from the various options that we brought in for her to consider. She knew from the beginning of the custom design process that she wanted to build her ring around the perfect stone, and she had a particular color range she was interested in. We investigated multiple gemstone types to find one that had all of the properties that were important to her and that also fit within her desired budget, and this is the one she ultimately settled on. The sapphire is framed beautifully in a bezel setting made of 14k rose gold. The metal type was another detail that the client knew she wanted from the beginning of the process, although the ring that provided the initial inspiration for her did not have a bezel setting. This look was one that she fell in love with, however, and we were able to combine the stone she loved with the setting style in just the way she wanted. Sapphire Engagement Rings

Band Design and Milgrain Beading

The client knew that she only wanted one gemstone in her ring, but when she discovered the bezel setting, she also decided she liked the framing effect created by the diamond halo on her inspiration piece. In order to preserve that detail without adding gemstones to her design, we created this tapered frame in rose gold and completed the look with milgrain beading along all edges to give the piece a hint of vintage flair while still maintaining the clean, simple look the client was after. The milgrain beading continues down along the band as well, helping to unite the two distinct sections of the ring.
