Blue Diamond Solitaire
The blue diamond used in this ring is a round brilliant cut stone with a sparkling blue-green color. While there are naturally-occurring blue diamonds, they are extremely rare, and therefore expensive. The one used in this ring is an irradiated diamond, which is how it got its lovely color, and using a stone like this is a great way to get the look you want while still staying within your budget. Band Design
The twisting nature of the shank for this ring allows it to come up and cradle the diamond securely between the two wrapped ends. It’s a decidedly contemporary design, and the use of 14k white gold, as well as the squared nature of the band itself, helps to intensify that sleek, modern look. The silvery color of the white gold also contrasts nicely with the sparkling blue of the diamond, helping the stone to stand out even more.
Customization Options
There are many ways you can customize this design to make it more your own. For instance, you could choose a different type of diamond for the center, or even use another gemstone. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
