18k White Gold Custom Unplated Diamond Halo Engagement Ring

Center Setting and Halo
In the center of this ring, a 0.73 carat cushion shaped diamond is perched in a four prong setting that rises cleanly up from the diamond halo below. This halo is made up of round bright cut set diamonds, and it mirrors the contours of the larger stone perfectly, helping to accentuate the lovely vintage overtones of the design. Bright cut set diamonds cover the outside of the halo also, bringing a truly glamorous flair to the design. Halo Engagement Rings
The addition of the halo was the main adjustment the client made to his primary inspiration piece. That ring had a cushion shaped center also in a prong setting, and it included bright cut set diamond accents on the band as well. By adding the halo, the client invoked a slightly more classical style, while simultaneously removing some of the organic elements found on the fronts of the inspiration piece. Diamond Accents and Hand Engraving
Round accent diamonds, tapering in size as they move away from the top, are bright cut set down the shank shoulders. These end at about the mid-point on each side, and below the diamonds, elegant scroll-style hand engraving covers the top of the band nearly all the way across the bottom.
The ring fronts hold a complementary style of hand engraving, and this runs up to the base of the main setting. This type of engraving is completed by hand as the last step in the production process, allowing us to customize it to a great degree. Milgrain frames the hand-engraved sections, as well as the accent diamonds on the band and the diamonds in the halo, combining with the champagne color of the unplated white gold to reinforce the vintage themes already present.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
