Champagne Diamond
The solitaire diamond in this ring is a 1.07 carat round brilliant cut stone with a beautiful champagne color. The client purchased it separately, and we designed the ring to fit it and then set the stone for him. Solitaire Engagement Rings
In order to highlight the lovely color of the diamond, we used a combination of rose and yellow gold. The subtle contrast this creates makes the diamond almost seem to glow, and it brings a new complexity to the design as well. Diamond Engagement Rings
Band Design and Accents
The band itself begins as a solid piece of 14k rose gold at the bottom, and it widens slightly as it moves up the sides, eventually splitting into two strands just past the half-way point on each side. These two strands continue up, gradually moving apart, until they transition into the prongs of the main setting.
In the space created by the diverging strands, a beautiful, curling filigree made of 18k yellow gold is inserted, and its color adds a subtle contrast to the design, while its shape complements the pattern used in the hand engraving that covers most of the rose gold portion of the shank. Small scrolls of yellow gold also fill the spaces below the main setting on both fronts, adding a nice balance and sense of completion to the piece. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

It's still incredible to me that I googled "image engagement ring engraving solitaire" and found an image of a ring I really liked online, then followed the post to the Joseph Jewelry website and fell in love with another one of their customized designs. But, I had misgivings about buying a ring online without ever trying it on. When I hit the "location" button, I couldn't believe my eyes--they are based in Bellevue!
