18k Yellow Gold And Platinum Custom Three Stone Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #1196 $6,919 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Three-stone Setting
The three-stone look is a classic choice for an engagement ring, and in this piece, the relatively similar diameters of the three stones produces an elegant and dazzling effect. The center stone is certainly the largest of the three, and the side stones are slightly smaller and angled outward.
The center stone is also held in place by four platinum prongs, while each side stone only has three. The positioning of these three prongs, with two on the inside close to the center and the third on the outside inline with the band accentuates the tapering shape of the center setting and facilitates the transition to the narrow band below. Two-tone Band Design
Although all three of the diamonds are set in platinum, the rest of the ring is made from 14k yellow gold. This produces a lovely two-tone effect, and it allows the diamonds to make a dramatic statement on top while also incorporating the more classical warmth of yellow gold into the piece.
Customization Options
Although this design is not full of extravagant features, there are still plenty of areas to adjust when you want to customize it. For instance, you could switch to all yellow gold or all platinum if you wanted to push more in either the classical or contemporary directions. You could also change the shapes of the diamonds at the top, perhaps going with an oval center and pear-shaped side stones or all princess cuts.
Using a different type of gemstone is an option as well, and diamonds are available in several shades, while sapphires can be found in just about any color you’d like. That gives you plenty of options to work with if you’d like to integrate a color with personal significance to you and your partner, and our team will make suggestions as needed along the way to help ensure you come away with a piece that’s perfect for you in every way.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
