18k Yellow Gold Art Deco Blue Sapphire And Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #101988 $3,772 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Center Setting
The round brilliant cut diamond at the center of this ring sits in the middle of a octagonal frame, with eight 18k white gold prongs holding it in place. The contrast between its curved shape and the angular nature of the frame help the diamond stand out, while also creating the perfect transition to the more squared shank of the ring.
Blue Sapphire and Milgrain Accents
Each shank shoulder holds one bezel set blue sapphire, and their special shape mirrors the tapering of the band as it moves away from the center setting. These accent stones are lined with milgrain, and their rich blue color contrasts perfectly with the polished silvery hue of the white gold. Diamond Engagement Rings
Milgrain also runs along the outside of the center setting, and it continues down the band to the midway point on each edge, acting to tie all areas of the piece together while also framing the hand engraving beautifully. The milgrain adds some vintage flair to the piece, and it works well with the other vintage-inspired design elements to create a satisfying balance for the ring. Vintage Engagement Rings
Engraving and Filigree
The top of the shank below the blue sapphires is covered with a hand-engraved wheat pattern down to the mid-point on the band. A scroll pattern is also engraved on the fronts of the ring, and this ties in nicely with the intricate scroll filigree found in the spaces below the main setting.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
