He had a clear idea of the ring he wanted for his fiancee-to-be, and he also had some thoughts about the kind of wedding band they were interested in. The information he provided allowed us to make the necessary modifications to his inspiration piece, and we shared CAD renderings of this new design with him through the online workroom we set up to manage his project. Center Diamond and Halo
At the top of this ring, a one carat cushion shaped diamond is prong set in 18k rose gold. The prongs curl up over the rounded corners of the stone, and the delicate contest between the brilliant diamond and the soft tones of the metal helps intensify the beauty of each. The prongs come to soft points as well, adding another dimension to the design. Rose Gold Engagement Rings
A halo of split prong set diamonds surrounds this larger stone, and it follows the contours of the center diamond closely. The diamonds in the halo reflect extra light back up onto the center, helping it to shine more brightly, and the use of the split prong setting gives the piece as a whole a lovely classical flair.
Diamond Accents
Split prong set diamonds also line the shank shoulders, continuing to about the three-quarter point on the band. These tie in nicely with the diamonds in the halo, and they create a glamorous and delicate look thanks to choice of the split prong setting.
Custom Wedding Sets
The client had initially requested that accent diamonds be set on the fronts of the ring below the center setting as well, but we eliminated these from our first round of CAD models due to the fact that he also wanted a straight wedding band to be able to sit flush with the engagement ring. We presented him with the option of including these diamonds and leaving a space between the two rings or leaving the diamonds out, and in the end he decided that keeping the two rings flush was more important.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
