Whether you’d like to begin the custom design process with an in-person conversation in our Bellevue, WA showroom, or you prefer to reach out to our team through our website, we’ll take all of the information you give us about your style and feature preferences and use it to create a unique design that we’ll share with you through the online workroom we set up to manage your project. After seeing these models, you can request any changes you’d like, and we’ll proceed through as many cycles of revisions as are necessary to ensure every detail is perfect.
Center Diamond and Halo
In the center of this ring, a 0.50 carat round brilliant cut diamond sits in a full bezel setting made of 18k white gold. The bezel follows the contours of the diamond exactly, highlighting its perfectly round shape and keeping all of its edges protected. This type of setting also allows the entire piece to maintain a lower profile, making damage to the center or the diamonds in the halo less likely, even with everyday wear. Halo Engagement Rings
The halo sits at nearly the same level as the center diamond, and it’s composed of six blue sapphires and six white diamonds that are set in an alternating pattern all the way around. The diamonds are round, and they’re bright cut set, while the sapphires are specially cut to fill the almost wedge-shaped space between the diamonds, and they’re bezel set. The arrangement of the stones, as well as the contrast between their colors, both contribute to the vaguely floral aesthetic of the center. Blue Sapphire Engagement Rings
Band Design and Diamond Accents
On each shank shoulder, a decorative diamond-shaped space angles down along the band, holding a single bright cut set diamond within it. The top of the diamond shape continues past the meeting point, with both sides curling up and out along the side of the halo. The diamond is lined with milgrain, as are the stones in the halo, and this detail adds to the vintage overtones of the design.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
