If you live locally, you’re welcome to drop by our Bellevue, WA showroom anytime to view sample pieces and discuss your ideas for a custom design project. If that’s not convenient for you, however, we can also work through the design process entirely online, and we’ll even ship you a wax model of your ring so you can make sure it’s exactly what you had in mind before you give your final approval for us to begin production.
Solitaire Diamond
The round brilliant cut diamond at the top of this ring is tension set between the two sides of the wrapped, 18k white gold shank. These frame it nicely on two sides while leaving the other two open, an arrangement that allows plenty of light to reach the diamond while still keeping the stone protected from the hazards of everyday wear. Diamond Engagement Rings
The way the two sides of the shank run past the diamond create a nice contrast between the perfect curves of the stone and the straight lines of the setting. The band is otherwise straight, and it thickens gradually as it nears the top to accommodate the depth of the stone.
Customization Options
You can quickly introduce some contrast to this piece by switching to rose or yellow gold for the setting. Alternately, you could select a colored diamond or other type of gemstone for the center. Sapphires are a particularly popular alternative to diamonds in engagement rings, and they’re available in many different colors. Custom Engagement Rings
The shape of the diamond also impacts the overall appearance of the piece, and some options in that category include oval, marquise, or cushion cut. Of course, you may want to work in some accent stones as well, and our designers can help you determine the best way to do this while still maintaining the structural integrity and graceful lines of the design.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
