Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set atop a white gold shank with diamond and blue sapphire accents. The design was developed for a client from Middletown, NY, who found our ring #102163 online and wanted to make a few adjustments so it was exactly what he wanted.

We worked with him extensively online to decide on the right type of center diamond, the kind of metal, and the positioning of several other features. Once we had it all just right, we sent the ring into production, and although he could never visit our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, he was very satisfied with his experience and with the ring we created for him. Center Setting

The stone in the center of this ring is a 0.80 carat round brilliant cut diamond, and its beauty shines through from all directions thanks to the openness of the four prong setting holding it in place. We went through several different options with our client for the type and size of diamond he wanted to use, and he eventually settled on this one.

Diamond and Sapphire Accents

The shank shoulders hold a row of round bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain, and custom cut tapered blue sapphires appear on the fronts of the shoulders on both sides. The diamonds help to reinforce the sparkle of the center stone, while the sapphires introduce a wonderful color to the piece.

One of the main changes our client made to the original ring designs was to change the shape of the shank shoulders so that the rows of sapphires were placed completely on the fronts of the ring and not visible from the top at all. This placement makes them even more striking when you do see them, and it also lets the piece form a more delicate line on the finger.
