This beautiful engagement ring features a blue sapphire center stone flanked by smaller sapphires and diamonds. It was custom designed for a client, and while it draws on the design found in ring #100390, it also incorporates some additional touches to create a unique and eye-catching piece.

Center Stone
The centerpiece of this ring is a princess cut blue sapphire framed beautifully in a prong setting. This combination allows for the greatest exposure for the sapphire and highlights its natural beauty. The blue sapphire is a fitting alternative to a diamond in the engagement ring, as it symbolizes loyalty, sincerity, and reliability, all of which are important elements of your relationship. Cathedral Shank and Side Settings
The cathedral shank used in this design serves to highlight the center stone, and it also provides more space for the side settings of accent gemstones. These include a central row of channel-set diamonds running down each side, as well as specially-cut side sapphires flanking the rows of diamonds. The diamonds and sapphires compliment each other well, and their juxtaposition here creates a beautiful contrast that gives depth and complexity to the overall appearance of the ring.
The shank itself is forged from 14k white gold, a versatile and malleable metal that lends itself well to this particular design. White gold is often used as a symbol of purity and clarity, and as such, it makes a wonderful choice for an engagement band.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
