Description
This stunning engagement ring features a princess cut diamond surrounded by a diamond halo, all set atop a white gold band with additional diamond accents. The design was developed for a client from Renton, WA, who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to take a look at some pieces and pick out the features he liked.

We took the information he provided and created a design, which we then shared with him through the online workroom we set up for his project. He liked what we had come up with and gave his approval for us to move the piece into production. Diamond Engagement Rings
Center Setting
The main stone in this ring is a 0.70 carat princess cut diamond, and it’s prong set in the center of a halo of round bright cut set diamonds. While the cut of the center diamond gives it a square shape with sharp corners, the corners of the halo are rounded. This detail, combined with the round shape of the diamonds that make up the halo, works to soften the appearance of the center setting a bit. The contrasting shapes also help the main diamond stand out. Halo Engagement Rings
Accent Diamonds
Additional accent diamonds are found on the shank shoulders, bringing some extra sparkle and romantic flair to the ring. They're princess cut and channel set, which gives the piece a smooth, contemporary feel. Finally, two round bright cut set diamonds are tucked onto each ring front right below the center diamonds for a bit of surprise sparkle when the ring is viewed from the side.
Customization Options
This is a lovely design, but if you’d like to add your own personal touch to it, there are plenty of options to consider. For starters, you could use pink diamonds or other colored gemstones in place of the accent diamonds on the shank shoulders or in the halo. This would bring a great contrast to the piece, and it’s also a good way to work in yours or your fiancee’s birthstone. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
If you’d like to keep it all diamonds, you could still adapt the design by using different types of settings. For instance, bright cut set accent stones on the shank shoulders would give the piece a much more classical feel. Or you could switch to a bezel setting around the main diamond for a sleek, contemporary look. Using a different type of metal for the ring itself is also an option, and choosing something like rose or yellow gold is a great way to introduce some contrast so the sparkling white diamonds stand out even more.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
