After learning a bit about his budget and feature preferences, we developed high-quality CAD images of his design that we then shared though the online workroom we created to manage his project. He requested some slight modifications, which we were able to incorporate, and he then gave his approval to move the piece into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Diamond and Blue Sapphire Accents
At the top of this ring, a 0.40 carat round brilliant cut diamond is cradled in four white gold prongs that rise up gracefully from the shank below. It’s the widest part of the ring, which was one of the modifications the client requested we make to his original inspiration piece. That ring had a band of metal that was visible running around all of the gemstones when it was viewed straight on from the top, and eliminating that helps make the gemstones more prominent.
On the sides of the diamond, round blue sapphires are prong set in a line, tapering in size as they move away from the center. There are three sapphires in each line, and their rich blue color serves as the perfect counterpoint to the sparkling white of the diamond. The way the prongs holding these accent stones curve to wrap up around them is the perfect continuation of the organic lines found in the rest of the ring. Blue Sapphire Engagement Rings
Band Design and Filigree
The lower portion of this band is styled to look like twisted rope, with graceful curves that continue up to integrate into the custom filigree below the center setting. Directly beneath the diamond on both fronts is an upside down heart shape, and elegant scrolls extend out from here along the shank shoulders to help tie all elements of the piece together.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
