Custom Blue Sapphire And Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Item #103457 $3,478 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Center Sapphire
In the center of this ring, a 1.65 carat emerald cut blue sapphire is prong set in 14k white gold. The rounded prongs curl up around the cropped corners of the stone, helping to accentuate the lovely lines of the sapphire while also providing a subtle contrast in terms of both shape and color. The client selected this particular sapphire from the options we presented to her at the same time she came in to see the wax model of the design. Blue Sapphire Engagement Rings
Diamond and Sapphire Halos
Slightly below the level of the sapphire, a squared halo of shared prong set small round diamonds surrounds the larger stone. These enhance the contrast with the white of the metal, and they also send additional light back up onto the sapphire to help it shine more brightly. Halo Engagement Rings
On the sides of the halo, small round blue sapphires are shared prong set, providing a nice balance to the piece by reinforcing the color of the center stone. These are partially visible from the top-down view thanks to the choice of setting style, allowing them to produce a thin frame for the main diamond halo as well.
Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is narrow and straight most of the way up, splitting very close to the top into two strands that move away from each other to form a V shape before they meet the bottom of the halo. The strands are each lined with split prong set diamonds, and three larger split prong set diamonds run down each shank shoulder after the two strands come together.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
