He worked with our team through the online portal we set up to manage his project, which allowed him to view the sketches and models we developed of his design. He provided feedback and clarifications in this way, and we integrated his input to perfect our models.
Center Setting
In the center of this ring, a 2.50 carat round brilliant cut diamond is held in place by four white gold prongs. These prongs rise up gracefully from below, crossing over each other on the way and mirroring the elegant lines of the diamond. This subtle cross-over detail can be seen on both ring fronts, and it adds a great deal to the overall flow of the piece.
Diamond and Sapphire Halo
Surrounding the large diamond in the center is a halo of small, round shared prong set diamonds. These follow the contours of the center stone precisely, helping to accentuate its perfect shape. The light reflected back up onto the center from the halo also helps to increase the brilliance of the larger stone, while adding a classical touch to the design as well. Halo Engagement Rings
The sides of the halo are covered by a ring of small, round blue sapphires that are also shared prong set. These introduce a wonderful contrast to the piece, and they’re only slightly visible when the ring is viewed from the top down, creating a delicate frame around the main halo. The client’s inspiration piece also featured a large blue sapphire in the center position, and although he decided to go with a diamond there instead, he still kept the sapphire accents. Diamond Accents and Band Design
Starting at about the half-way point on each side, the band holds a line of round bright cut set diamonds. Smaller diamonds are also bright cut set up each strand of the shank after it splits close to the center setting, and these facilitate a smooth transition to the halo and larger diamond at the top.

Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
