We began the design process with his favorite of our original designs, engagement ring #1485, and then modified it until it could accommodate all of the features he wanted to include. Although he never visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, our excellent design team and the advanced imaging and modeling tools we have at our disposal ensured that the piece we made for him was exactly what he had in mind.
Center Diamond
The stone in the center of this ring is approximately 1.72 carat princess cut diamond, and it’s cradled beautifully in a four prong platinum setting that rises up through a break in the main part of the band. The nature and placement of this main setting was of particular concern to the client, and we tried out several different options until we found one that he liked. Diamond Engagement Rings
Turquoise Accents
Another significant element the client wanted to include in this ring were turquoise accent stones, but he didn’t want them to interrupt the overall flow of the piece. To accommodate his requests, we chose cabochon cut turquoise and set them flush with the band while also integrating them into the pattern of the hand engraving covering the shank.
Engraving and Milgrain
The shank of this ring is covered with a beautiful, swirling hand-engraved pattern, which was the other main feature that was very important to the client. He loved the work our master engraver had done on other pieces, and wanted to include this type of beautiful detailing on his fiancee’s ring as well.
As a finishing touch, we added milgrain beading running down all of the edges of the band. This frames the engraving beautifully, and it also intensifies the vintage feel of the piece to create a truly classy look. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.

We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
