This stunning engagement ring features a round Star 129 diamond at the top of a criss-cross yellow gold shank, accented with bright cut set diamonds half-way down both sides of the band. Star 129 Diamond
The centerpiece of this ring is a round Star 129 diamond, and it’s held in a four prong setting made of 18k yellow gold. The tops of the prongs are slightly squared, and this detail creates a subtle contrast with the perfectly round shape of the diamond in the middle.
The client chose the Star 129 diamond because he wanted the most brilliant stone possible. This cut features 129 precisely placed facets to maximize the amount of light that’s reflected back out. That’s in comparison to the approximately 58 facets that a round brilliant cut diamond has, which makes it easy to see why the Star 129 makes for so much more dramatic of a presentation.
Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band begins as one piece across the bottom, but it splits into two strands around the mid-point on each side. These strands bow out and then curve back in, crossing over each other once before reaching out again to transition into the prongs holding the center diamond. There is also a secondary split on the lower, outside portion of each strand just before they cross over each other, and the resulting strands reach across below the main setting, creating a criss-cross design on both ring fronts. Bright cut set diamonds line each strand in the piece, covering the top surface of the band as well as both ring fronts. The fact that these white stones are surrounded by the rich tones of the yellow gold band really helps them stand out, and their sparkle echoes that of the larger diamond at the top.

The wedding ring we created to complement this piece features the same criss-crossing band design, as well as matching diamond accents. That helps ensure a truly dazzling display when the two rings are worn together, as well as a perfect alignment of all details in the set.

Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
