Engagement Ring Description

This beautiful engagement ring features a tension set round brilliant cut diamond in a wrapped shank with diamond and custom filigree accents, as well as custom hand engraving. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who began the process in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom, and then collaborated with our team online to finalize the details of the design.

Center Diamond and Accents

The diamond in the center of this ring is a round brilliant cut stone, and the way the wrapped ends of the shank move smoothly into the tension setting holding it in place give a nice movement to the piece. Each of these wrapped ends is lined with tapered bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain, which help enhance the sparkle of the center stone while also bringing a decidedly vintage flair to the piece.

Split Shank and Filigree

The shank of this ring splits at about the half-way point on each side, with the thicker, diamond-lined section continuing up to form the center setting, and the thinner piece looping out and then back in to tuck under the main diamond. Diamond Engagement Rings

The thinner strand is also lined with milgrain beading, which adds a nice texture to the piece and helps set it apart from the custom filigree that fills the spaces between the two strands. This filigree is made by hand, which allows us to customize its shape to a certain degree. The scroll design used here contributes to the ring’s classical flair, and the swirling pattern mimics the movement of the band as a whole.

Custom Engraving

One great way to put your personal touch on a piece is to include some custom hand engraving. Because our artisans complete this type of detail under a bench microscope as the final step in the production process, we’re able to include just about anything you’d like to see.

For this piece, the client provided a photo showing the sun setting over a landscape of mountains and evergreen trees that he wanted our engraver to use as inspiration for the design. The engraving that he produced adds a lovely intimacy to the piece, and it ensures the ring is truly one-of-a-kind.
