Custom Diamond Engagement Ring

Once we had a good idea about the type of piece he was trying to create, we produced a sketch of the design, which he was quite happy with as a starting point. The next step in the process was to build highly-detailed CAD images of the piece, and we shared these with the client online. He requested a few revisions, and once he was satisfied with the basic structure of the piece, we helped him find the perfect engraving pattern to complete the look he was after. Center Diamond
At the top of this ring, a 1.50 carat round brilliant cut diamond is set in four rose gold prongs. These arise from the lower portion of the band, and they’re joined by sections of the split shank as it comes up to meet the center setting on top. In order to join the prongs in this way, the top of the shank has to split wide, and this allows for a full, clear view of the diamond from the sides as well as the fronts. Diamond Engagement Rings
Morganite Accents and Filigree
There are three small round morganites bezel set on each ring front, with one directly below the center diamond and the other two halfway down the band at the spot where the top and bottom split off. These have a delicate pink hue, which is complemented nicely by the warm color of the rose gold they are set in.
Filling the space between the upper and lower portions of the band is a custom hand-made scroll filigree. Decorative beading also runs around the inner circle on both ring fronts, and the band itself comes to a point at the bottom, giving the ring a satisfying overall balance.
Custom Hand Engraving
The top of the band is covered with an intricate hand-engraved floral scroll pattern that the client picked out. It was very important to him that the engraving be just right, and the design he chose integrates well with the design of the filigree. He also requested the the engraver work a rose into the engraved pattern somehow, as this was his fiancee-to-be’s birth flower, and we were able to accommodate this request as well. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
