Custom Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Item #102936 $5,748 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
The original CAD designs we made for him were based on the preferences he expressed at our first meeting, but after giving it some thought, he decided to make several changes including using a different shape for the diamond in the center. We were able to adjust the ring while still keeping within his desired price range and meeting his short deadline, and he was very happy with the way his piece turned out.
Center Diamond and Halo
The centerpiece of this ring is a one carat cushion shaped diamond that’s tension set in 14k white gold. The setting is a continuation of one side of the split shank, which curves out and around the center diamond, following its contours smoothly.
This wrapped portion is also lined with round bright cut set diamonds to form a halo around the center stone, which is a feature the client’s fiancee-to-be particularly liked. All of the diamonds in the halo are lined with milgrain beading as well, which helps to enhance the vintage feel of the design. Vintage Engagement Rings Seattle
Filigree and Hand Engraving
The band of this ring splits just above the mid-point, and the space that opens up between the two diverging strands is filled with a lovely, hand-made scroll filigree. This is complemented nicely by the flowing scroll pattern that’s hand-engraved on the fronts of the ring, with a modified version tucked on the top of the band below the split.
The hand-engraved sections are lined with milgrain beading to tie in with the halo at the top, and there is a line of beading extending down the thicker of the two strands of the split shank, which is also framed by rows of milgrain to create a finished, balanced look.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
